MOHAN Foundation conducted an awareness session on organ donation to the medical students of Bangalore Medical College on January 1st, 2015.
There were about 250 medical students that have participated in the event and all of them were distributed donor cards, family donor cards and information brochures.
Dr. Basavaraj, volunteer of MOHAN Foundation, spoke about the importance of deceased organ donation, concept of brain death and myths surrounding organ donation, and the role of medical professionals in organ donation. Ms. Akshata has distributed the donor cards, family donor cards and information brochures and explained the importance of donor card and the role of MOHAN Foundation in promoting organ donation in India.
We thank the Dr. P. K. Devadas, Dean of Bangalore Medical College and the management for helping us in organizing this event to promote organ donation. We also thank all the medical students for their active participation.
