MOHAN Foundation was invited by Mr. K. Samba Siva Rao to conduct an awareness session to their association members on organ donation at Padmashali Welfare Association as a part of monthly meeting on 19th April 2015.
There were about 50 members that have participated in the event and were distributed information brochures and activity reports and all the staff members have come forward to pledge to donate organs and were distributed donor cards.
Ms. Shanti of MOHAN Foundation spoke about the importance of deceased organ donation, religious and cultural barriers involved with organ donation & eye donation, concept of brain death and myths surrounding organ donation.
We thank Mr. K. Samba Siva Rao and the members of Padmashali Welfare Association for giving us this opportunity to promote organ donation and for their active participation.
