‘Navjeevan ka Ankur’ held to felicitate Rajasthan’s deceased organ donors

  • Jaipur 18th April 2015: In a unique initiative MFJCF’s team Navjeevan organized special program ‘Navjeevan Ka Ankur’ to felicitate the state’s deceased organ donors’ life and their families at SMS Hospital auditorium.  Mr. Rajendra Singh Rathore, Health Minister, Govt. of Rajasthan was the chief guest of the same. In this program, tributes were given to organ donors Late Mr. Mohit Sharma, Late Ms. Radha Rani Jangid and Late Ms. Nirmala Mehta and honored their families.  Addressing the occasion, Mr. Rajendra Singh Rathore expressed his gratitude towards the family members of deceased organ donors and appreciated various awareness programs in this regard.

     

    The felicitation evening started with lighting the lamp by esteemed guests and followed by welcome address by Mr. Rajiv Arora, Chairperson, Jaipur Citizen Forum.  The medical staff which has been working in the field of candaver transplant including Doctors, Nursing staff and support staff till date, was also felicitated.

     

    Addressing the audience, Justice S S Kothari, Lokayukta , Rajasthan said, “ A wonderful effort by the Navjeevan team and Rajasthan. The efforts are appreciable and I wish them all the best in the future endeavors. I am pleased to know that the Organ Transplant Act is strictly being adhered to and Sawai Mansingh Hospital is geared up to cater to the needy in this health issue too.”

     

    Sharing her views on this gracious cause, Ms. Diya Kumari, MLA and Patron Navjeevan team said, “It’s an honor to be the Patron of such a noble and life saving cause. I congratulate the entire Team Navjeevan for their efforts in the cause of Organ and Tissue Donation and Transplant in Rajasthan and assure them of all the support they need.”

     

    Ms. Bhavna Jagwani , convener MFJCF,  appreciated the gratefulness of deceased organ donors and their family. She said that actually Rajasthan has been honored due to these 3 people and their families. She assured that Team Navjeevan would continue to work selflessly for the cause.

     

    During the program, a short film was also screened along with felicitation of individuals and contributors to this cause. Jaipur Mayor Mr. Nirmal Nahta, Managing Trustee of MOHAN Foundation Dr. Sunil Shroff, DGP of Rajasthan Mr. Manoj Bhatt, Director of Rajasthan Police Academy Mr. B L Soni, doctors, members of various social organizations and many dignitaries attended the evening.
