The State Bank of India Staff Union invited MOHAN Foundation for an organ awareness program for their union members on 27th January 2017 at SBOA School, Anna Nagar, Chennai. SBI staff union members conducted two days symposium on new methods of farming and banking methods to help farmers. SBI invited many faculties from agriculture colleges and discussed the ways to improve the farming and how bank staff can ease the farming process. On the first day of the symposium, Mr. Ruban Victor presented the concepts of organ donation.
The sessions begin with the insights of what is organ donation, the difference between the cardiac death and the brain death. The organs which can be donated during alive and how it helps in benefiting needy people. The session also explained on what is brain dead and how it is caused. The organs which can be donated after brain dead were explained. Nearly 200 staff member participated in the program. The entire audience pledged and picked their donor card. The donor card was sponsored by the SBI Villupuram branch.
