  • On November 14, 2025 – A tremendously successful organ donation awareness session was held at the Zilla Parishad High School (ZPHS), Nallavelly, on Children's Day, November 14, 2025. Despite facing transportation challenges due to the lack of timely bus services to the village, the program proceeded smoothly, demonstrating the dedication of both the organizers and the school community.

The session engaged over 105 students and faculty members from Grades 6 to 10. The day began with the Principal's address commemorating Children's Day before introducing the organ donation awareness talk.

The presentation covered essential topics necessary for informed decision-making:

    • The definition and various types of organ donation.
    • The essential distinction between brain death and cardiac arrest.
    • The significance of carrying a donor card.
    • The procedural aspects of the consent process.
    • Common myths and misconceptions surrounding organ donation.
    • The pressing societal need for organ donation.

A powerful and inspiring moment occurred toward the end of the session when a dedicated faculty member shared her own real-life experience of having donated skin from her thighs. This personal testimony deeply resonated with the attendees, providing a tangible example of living generosity.

The response from the school community was enthusiastic, with many students and teachers coming forward to pledge their support for this meaningful, life-saving cause. Notably, 11 faculty members formally pledged to donate their organs.

This event successfully spread awareness and fostered a culture of generosity, proving that passion for a good cause can overcome logistical hurdles and inspire real-world action.
