A ladies group in Chennai organised a talk on Organ Donation on Jan 3, 2024. The talk was organised and hosted at the residence of Mrs Sadhana at Kilpauk, Chennai. She had heard about Organ Donation in an earlier talk and wanted to share the information with others.
Around 18 women attended the session. Dr Hemal Kanvinde was the resource person from MOHAN Foundation. She asked everyone to speak about what they know about eye donation and organ donation. Then she spoke on the concepts, myths, law and process of organ donation and transplantation. The discussion was about the Brain Death and Coma; transplant costs and how to register.
