Training session on organ donation for the staff and employees of CHEB, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India

  • On November 11, 2014 Central Health Education Bureau (CHEB), invited MOHAN Foundation to conduct a training session on organ donation for their staff and employees.

     

    CHEB is an apex institute created in 1956 under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India to promote health education in the country.

     

    CHEB in collaboration with NOTTO (National Organ & Tissue Transplant Organization) are going to put a stall on organ donation at the health pavilion in the 34th India International Trade Fair, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi from Nov 14-27, 2014. The purpose of organ donation stall is to promote and raise awareness on this very important but under played out area in our country.

     

    The training session was part of the action plan to sensitize the staff and employees of CHEB so that they could address the queries raised by the people visiting the health pavilion since they are going to man the stall in the IITF.

     

    The session covered all the important aspects of organ donation and transplantation. It was a very interesting session because the participants were very proactive and had lot of queries.

     

    Around 15-20 participants attended the session.
