MOHAN Foundation was invited by Ms. Laxmi of Bank of America to conduct an awareness session at Bank of America for their employees on 11th November 2014. The event was organized in association with United Way Hyderabad.
There were about 50 employees that have actively participated in the event and all of them were distributed donor cards, family donor cards, information brochures and activity reports. We have distributed 800 donor cards, family donor cards and information brochures to be circulated among the other employees that could not attend the session.
Dr. Koti Reddy of MOHAN Foundation spoke about importance of deceased organ donation, religious and cultural barriers involved with organ donation & eye donation, benefits of transplantation, T.H.O 1994 Act, concept of brain death and myths surrounding organ donation.
We thank Ms. Laxmi of BOA, Ms. Sumana and Ms. Rekha of United Way Hyderabad for helping us in organizing this event at Bank of America to promote organ donation. We also thank all the employees that have given their valuable time for this noble cause.
