On 13 September 2015, The Central India Nephrology Society in association with Indian Society of Organ Transplantation (ISOT) organized a discussion on Organ Donation. It was held at Chitanvis Bhavan, Nagpur. Dr. Prakash Khetan, President of Central India Nephrology society organized this program. Dr. B. G. Waghmare, President of ZTCC, Nagpur & Dr. Ravi Wankhede, Director of MOHAN Foundation were the resource people for the program. 25 Nephrologist and general public participated in the program.
Discussion topics were:
1) Lack of awareness in medical community about organ donation.
2) Government Hospital in Nagpur does not undertake kidney transplantation.
3) The expense in kidney transplant.
4) New plans for going forward in organ donation.
