On February 27, 2013 a session on organ donation was organized by the MOHAN Foundations team for the police personnel at Rajender Nagar Police Station, New Delhi. Ms Pallavi Kumar addressed a group of 35 police personnel. The talk centered on the role of police in deceased organ donation program in hospitals. Special emphasis was given on the police’s role in a medico legal case which involves the inquest report (panchnama), NOC clearance from the police station under whose jurisdiction the site of accident is located, filling up of all the relevant forms related to organ donation for post mortem formalities.
Post session, the queries were handled and information given on how to pledge organs by filling up the organ donor card.
