To mark the Organ Donor Week and Independence Day, a Two days signature campaign and public education programme was organized at Hypercity Store, Inorbit Mall titled “Independence Day’s pledge”.
People from different backgrounds (age, nationality, and social status) came forward to support the cause. The information brochure on organ donation was distributed to all. The forum helped to reach people from different settings, as many families and friends came together to get enrolled and support organ donation. Though few were hesitant, the forum helped to explain what organ donation is all about. People expressed their support for organ donation by signing on the signature board and taking Donor Card. We covered around eighty per cent of those who came to store.
