MOHAN Foundation conducted an seminar for students of Saveetha Nursing College, Thandalam, Chennai on Jan 8, 2025. This was for students of 2nd year BSc nursing and first year MSc nursing. The seminar as held at the college lecture hall with more than 100 students and staff attending it.
The topics in the seminar were:
Concepts of Organ Donation
Understanding Brain Death
Grief Counseling and
Protocol in Hospital for a deceased donation.
Mr Ganesh C and Dr Hemal Kanvinde of MOHAN Foundation were the resource persons for the seminar. Ms Bavani Priya, Intern at MOHAN Foundation and student of Nazareth College assisted in the distribution of green ribbons and information brochures. The students enjoyed the activity based session and more then 60 pledged to donate by picking a donor card. The seminar was organized by Dr Karpagam K and Dr Thenmozhi Sethuraman of the Nursing College.
MOHAN Foundation thanks the management of SIMAT and Principal Dr. R. Vijayalakshmi for their support to the cause of organ donation.
