



On the evening of 4th April 2017 colourful floats paraded in a rally through the streets of Nagpur on the occasion of Ram Navami. Chief Minister Sri Devendra Phanavis was the chief guest at the rally and celebrations. MOHAN Foundation prepared a float depicting the importance and need to donate organs. The NSS students of Matru Sewa Sangh Institute of a Social Work College, Bajaj Nagar, Nagpur dressed like Rishis Dadhichi and Sushruta, Sri Ganesh, and Shiv Mahaprabhu. They decorated the float with social messages promoting organ donation and transplantation. Mr. Ravi Waghmare vice-president of Ramnagar Ram Mandir committee supported MOHAN Foundation’s effort to create awareness regarding organ donation.
Mr. Bulu Behera and Ms. Kanchan Shewde Transplant Coordinators of MOHAN Foundation organized this event under the guidance of Dr. Ravi Wankhede. The following information was given to public by them.
Through the event, 5000 people became aware about organ donation. Nearly everyone was given an information brochure. The public took pictures of the float.
