Mr. Sharad Jighkar, Regional Transport Officer, Giripeth, Nagpur invited MOHAN foundation to conduct an awareness session on organ donation for drivers in his training hall on 30 May 2017. This talk was for drivers who apply for vehicle registration and driving license.
Mr. Bulu Behera, transplant coordinator, MOHAN Foundation delivered a talk on Organ Donation. In his talk he explained for following points:-
v What is Organ Donation and the Law?
v Who can donate organ?
v Type of organ donation.
v Brain Death, Natural Death and Coma.
v Myths related to Organ donation.
v Deceased donation case in Nagpur.
v Kidney transplant hospital in Nagpur.
v Importance of Donor card, Helpline number and website.
It was a very interactive session. 15 drivers were present at the talk.3 drivers signed consent form and took donor card.
