On November 22, 2025, Mr. Gabriel Pereira, Organ Donation Ambassador with the MOHAN Foundation, set up an organ donation information desk at a blood donation camp organised by St. Thomas Girls’ High School in Aldona, in collaboration with Loving Hearts Goa and the North Goa District Hospital (Asilo) Blood Bank.
The camp, supported by Dr. Carlos Medical Stores, Aldona, was held from 10 AM to 1 PM and saw participation from 19 parents and members of the public who came forward to donate blood.
Gabriel engaged with the donors, emphasising the importance of both blood and organ donation. He explained that a single blood donation can save 3 to 4 lives, whereas one organ donor can save up to 8 lives and potentially enhance up to 50 lives through tissue donation. Four donors took organ donation pledge cards.
He also distributed frequently asked questions on organ donation, along with bike and helmet stickers featuring the organ donation and transplant helpline number.
Mr. Mark D’Souza, President of Loving Hearts Goa, expressed his gratitude to Sr. Rosarina Crasto AC, Headmistress of St. Thomas Girls’ High School, for permitting them to host the camp on the school premises for the second time.
