MOHAN (Multi Organ Harvesting Aid Network) Foundation, Bangalore, in association with BNES College organized an Organ Donation solidarity meet on 28th November 2011 on the occasion of Organ Donation Day. The program was inaugurated by Honorable Deputy Mayor Sri Harish at 10.30 AM in the BNES College auditorium. Deputy Mayor Sri Harish presided over the program along with the dignitaries. Dr. H. Sudarshan Ballal, Medical Director-Manipal Health Enterprises, Dr. K. Bhujang Shetty, Chairman-Narayana Nethralaya, Prof. K.E. Radhakrishna, Chairman-BNES College, Dr. Sreenivasa, Director-Sanskrit University, Karnataka, Prof. H.N. Ramachandra, Principal-BNES Pre-University College, Prof. M.S. Krishnamurthy, Principal- BNES Degree College and Mrs. Lalitha Raghuram, Country Director- MOHAN Foundation were present at the event.
On this occasion, MOHAN Foundation officially launched the Kannada Donor Card. All the dignitaries present at the program unanimously decided to pledge their organs by signing up the Donor Cards and expressed their willingness to support the Organ Donation Programme in Karnataka. To express their solidarity towards this noble cause, more than 300 students and faculty members of BNES College along with the representatives from various hospitals and media took part in the Signature Campaign held at BNES Campus.
