Rotarian and Organ Donation Ambassador of MOHAN Foundation, Mr. Mohan Nishtala, organised an online organ donation awareness session through the Rotaract Club of Shenergy. The Rotaract Club of Shenergy was formed by young girls those who have interest to work for social causes and women empowerment.
Dr. S Bhanu Chandra – Senior Transplant Coordinator of MOHAN Foundation, Hyderabad was the speaker during the session which was held over Zoom on 30th October 2021. Around 110 members of the Shenergy Club attended the session. Organ donation concepts, brain death, tissue donation, whole body donation, type of organ donation, myths involved in organ donation and THO 1994 act were the topics covered.
Mr. Mohan Nishtala shared the experience of donating the organs of his wife after brain death. MOHAN Foundation is thankful to Mr. Nishtala and the Rotaract Club of Shenergy for the opportunity.
