Organ Donation Awareness at a Buddha Vihar in Nagpur

Mr. Bulu Behera, Transplant Coordinator of MOHAN Foundation delivered an awareness talk on 20^th September 2021 at a Buddha Vihar in Nagpur.
Mr. Satyawan Meshram, President of the Buddha Vihar had organized the program.

Mr. Behera covered the followsing topics during his talk:
- Introduction to MOHAN Foundation
- Organ donation and tissue donation
- Difference between coma and brain death
- Difference between natural death and drain death
- The organ donation process
- Organs and tissues that can be donated after natural death and brain death
- Role of ZTCC
- Role of NOTTO, ROTTO and SOTTO in organ donation and transplantation
- Transplant Law
- MOHAN Foundation’ activities
- Importance of donor card
- Using MOHAN Foundation’s helpline number and website
Around 15 people were present and 4 signed up as organ donors.
