On the occasion of Republic day on January 26th 2024, Shamika Singh, the transplant coordinator at MOHAN Foundation, took an awareness session on organ donation. In collaboration with the Lion's Club Virar, an impactful session was conducted, reaching out to approximately 2000 individuals and 18 participants pledged their organs.
The awareness session aimed to educate the community about the importance of organ donation and dispel myths surrounding the process. Through informative discussions, participants gained insights into the transformative impact organ donation can have on the lives of those in need.
MOHAN Foundation remains committed to its mission of promoting organ donation, and collaborations with community organizations like Lion's Club Virar play a pivotal role in creating a positive impact on society. The success of this event is a step forward in building a culture of compassion and awareness surrounding organ donation, ultimately contributing to the well-being of individuals in need of organ transplants.
