  • On July 25, 2025 - An organ donation awareness session at ZPHS, Yacharam, proved to be massively successful. Project Manager Mr. Venkatesh Kattela from MOHAN Foundation delivered two highly engaging PowerPoint presentations to over 350 students.

The sessions were strategically conducted during the students' morning and afternoon leisure periods, covering 6th to 8th grade and 9th to 10th grade respectively, ensuring minimal disruption to their regular classes.

The interactive talk comprehensively covered essential aspects of organ donation, including:

    • What organ donation is
    • Different types of organ donation
    • The critical distinction between brain death and cardiac arrest
    • The significance of the donor card
    • The consent process involved in organ donation
    • Common myths and misconceptions
    • The urgent need for organ donation in society

The program culminated with both students and faculty members demonstrating their support by pledging to donate their organs.

Initially, securing approval for the session faced a hurdle due to a primary school complex meeting scheduled for teachers. However, MEO Pandu Ranga Reddy, recognizing the profound significance of this noble cause, personally requested that the awareness session be conducted at their school.

Principal Narsimha and the faculty expressed their deep appreciation for MOHAN Foundation's dedicated efforts in promoting this life-saving initiative. This event underscores the growing recognition and commitment towards organ donation within the educational community, propelled by understanding and proactive support from key stakeholders.
