Online course on Transplant Coordination Professional Certificate: June 2023 - July 2023

  • MOHAN Foundation successfully conducted the online course on Transplant Coordination Professional Certificate between June 19, 2023 - July 28, 2023 and witnessed enrolment of 60 candidates. This diverse group included doctors, nurses, dialysis technicians, psychologists, social workers, counsellors, physician assistants, and individuals from administration and management backgrounds. The states represented were Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, and Jammu and Kashmir.

    E-Learning Platform:

    Participants were given access to an extensive e-learning portal - https://el.mohanfoundation.org/, the central repository for study materials and course resources. The course structure incorporated online assignments and assessments, empowering participants to enhance their knowledge through self-paced learning.

    Engaging Weekend Webinars:

    The course included interactive weekend webinars held on Saturdays, featuring experts from the field of organ donation and transplantation. Participants had the unique opportunity to attend guest lectures and virtually interact with the speakers. The list of speakers included Ms. Sujatha Suriyamoorthi, Associate Director - Courses, MOHAN Foundation; Dr. Sapna Erat Sreedharan, Professor of Neurology, SCTIMST, Trivandrum; Ms. Anfi Mijo, Transplant Manager, Aster MIMS Hospital, Kozhikode; Lt. Col Sandhya V Nair, Nursing Superintendent cum Transplant Coordinator, Medanta, Gurugram; Mrs. Kavitha Aneesh, Marketing Coordinator, MOHAN Foundation; Mr. Bhanu Chandra, Operations Manager, MOHAN Foundation.

    The webinars focused on essential topics related to organ donation and transplantation, delving into concepts, brain stem death, legal aspects, role of donor coordinators in both deceased and living donor programs, ethical considerations, and counselling grieving families about organ donation. Participants actively engaged in case study discussions, enriching their learning experience.

    Course Completion

    An online examination was conducted on July 29, 2023 and the candidates who fulfilled the course requirements were issued completion certificate.
