On January 12, 2026, Mr. Sanchit Arora, Project Leader, MOHAN Foundation Uttarakhand, was felicitated at the Rashtriya Youth Sammelan, Uttarakhand 2026, organised by Divya Prem Sewa Mission, Haridwar.
The event was held on the occasion of the Mission’s 30th Foundation Day and Swami Vivekananda Ji’s birth anniversary, coinciding with National Youth Day, and was dedicated to celebrating youth leadership and service to society.
Divya Prem Sewa Mission is a well-known social and spiritual organisation committed to humanitarian service, youth empowerment, health initiatives, and value-based social reform across Uttarakhand.
The program was graced by Mr. Anurag Thakur, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha, as the Chief Guest, with Shri Baal Krishan Acharya Ji, Managing Director, Patanjali, as the Guest of Honour. The event was presided over by Dr. Ashish Gautam Ji, President, Divya Prem Sewa Mission. The award finalists were shortlisted by the awards committee chaired by Shri Shantilal Jain.
During the ceremony, Mr. Sanchit Arora was conferred with the “Rashtriya Youth Award 2026” in recognition of his dedicated contribution to the field of organ donation over the past two years in Uttarakhand. His work includes providing consistent support to donor families and leading large-scale public awareness campaigns across the state. The award recognises selfless service and promotes organ donation as one of the highest forms of giving, reinforcing the values of humanity and social responsibility.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Sanchit Arora spoke on common myths, facts, and misconceptions related to organ donation. He explained the process of organ pledging after death and shared details of MOHAN Foundation’s 24/7 helpline. He also highlighted key aspects of organ donation in India, including the Transplantation of Human Organs and Tissues Act, 1994, the objectives of MOHAN Foundation, the Anudaan initiative, and various ways individuals can support the cause.
In his address, Mr. Anurag Thakur emphasized the importance of discipline, strong values, and service to humanity, describing such initiatives as a source of inspiration for the younger generation.
The program concluded on an inspiring note with active participation from youth representatives across Uttarakhand. Participants shared their initiatives in areas such as social service, healthcare, education, environment, and community development. The event served as a meaningful platform to empower young citizens to contribute actively towards nation-building and humanitarian causes.
