MOHAN Foundation was invited by Mr. Arun Kumar and Mr. Lingeswar Rao of FOSWL (Friends on Same Wavelength) Association to conduct organ donation awareness by installing a stall at their meeting on June 28, 2015.
Ms. Shanti explained the purpose, necessity, importance, complex issues in deceased organ donation, concept of brain death, cultural and religious barriers, THO Act and myths related to organ donation. Mr. Gadde Ram Mohan Rao, MLA, graced the occasion and pledged to donate organs. More than 150 participants were distributed donor cards and information brochures.
We thank Mr. Arun Kumar and Mr. Lingeswar Rao for their kind support in organizing this awareness session and also thank all the participants for their support to this noble cause.
