MOHAN Foundation conducts Organ Donation Rally to Promote Organ Donation in Association with STAAS Foundation, Hyderabad

  • MOHAN Foundation was invited by Mr. Karthik of STAAS Foundation, an active youth group that works on environmental protection, children’s education and promotes healthy living, to participate in the rally organized at Saroornagar Lake, Hyderabad on February 14, 2015. The majority of participants were visually challenged students of Karmanghat Blind School.

     

    The rally was organized to create awareness about organ donation and on preventable blindness. There were about 100 visually challenged students and volunteers of STAAS Foundation that have actively participated in the event. Dr. Koti Reddy of MOHAN Foundation spoke to the students on the importance of deceased organ donation and myths surrounding organ donation. MOHAN Foundation provided information brochures and activity reports to the participants to be distributed to the public.

     

    The rally began from Karmanghat Blind School and ended at Sarronagar Lake where children were provided refreshments. The students enthusiastically distributed information brochures, displayed placards to the public and shouted the slogan “Be The One & Save Many”. 

     

    We thank Mr. Karthik and volunteers of STAAS Foundation for organizing such an innovative event to promote organ donation. We also thank all the young participants especially visually challenged students that have actively participated in this event to promote the noble cause of organ donation.

     

    MOHAN Foundation expresses its sincere gratitude to Karmanghat Blind School management for permitting their students to participate and making this possible to promote organ donation among the public.
