MOHAN Foundation was invited by Ravindra Bharti School, Santosh Nagar, to conduct an awareness session for their students as a part of their science fest organized on February 15, 2015.
Student volunteers that will present about organ donation during the science fest were given a session along with some staff members and were also provided with information brochures, activity reports of MOHAN Foundation, donor cards to be distributed to the visitors and parents.
After the session, the students made exclusive presentations to the visitors of the Science Fest and explained about the importance of deceased organ donation, barriers involved with organ donation & eye donation, benefits of transplantation, concept of brain death and myths surrounding organ donation.
We thank the Principal and management of Ravindra Bharti School, Santosh Nagar, for making this innovative move on getting their students trained on organ donation and the students in turn will spread the information to the general public especially the parents of school students.
We thank Sri. M. Subramanyam, Chairman, Ravindra Bharti School for permitting us in organizing this event to promote organ donation. We also thank all the student volunteers for their active participation and also hope that this event has ignited the young minds on organ donation.
