MOHAN Foundation was invited by Mrs. Priyadarshini to conduct an awareness session on organ donation for the local women of Self Help Group on April 12, 2015 at Cherukupalli (Village), Gudavalli (Mandal), Vijayawada.
There were about 20 women that gathered and participated in the event and were distributed information brochures and activity reports. All the members came forward to pledge to donate organs and were distributed donor cards.
Ms. Shanti of MOHAN Foundation spoke about the importance of deceased organ donation, religious and cultural barriers involved with organ donation & eye donation, concept of brain death and myths surrounding organ donation.
We thank Mrs. Priyadarshini and the members of Self Help Group for giving us this unique opportunity to promote organ donation.
