On October 10, 2024, the MOHAN Foundation team conducted an awareness session at Adicura Hospital, targeting the hospital's Nursing and ICU staff. The session was aimed at educating the hospital's staff and the relatives of patients about common myths surrounding organ donation. The discussion focused on the organ donation process, the rigorous safeguards in place by government authorities to prevent malpractices, and how the system ensures that this life-saving gift is handled with the utmost care and integrity.
The MOHAN Foundation team also collaborated with the transplant team from Gujarat Multispecialty Hospital, who shared insights on the importance of registering with the State Organ and Tissue Transplant Organisation (SOTTO) and the National Transplantation Organisation (NTORC). Approximately 50 people attended the session, which was an important step in furthering awareness and dispelling misconceptions about organ donation.
