



Live Beyond - an awareness initiative by MOHAN Foundation & Medical Students Association of India, conducted an Organ Donation Awareness Campaign from August 27 to September 02, 2014 aimed at bringing awareness among the youth of Vijayawada and have conducted a massive campaign making presentations at SRR Government College, KBN College, Potti Sriramulu Chalavadi Mallikarjuna Rao College of Engineering, NTR University of Health Sciences, NRI Medical College, Katuri Medical College and Pinnamaneni Siddhartha Medical College.
Ms. Priyanka explained the students about organ donation, brain death, and the advantages of deceased organ donation. About 2000 students (medical, engineering, management) and staff participated in this campaign. All the doubts that were raised by the students were clarified during the presentations/interactive sessions. All the participants were distributed donor cards and information brochures and the importance of donor card was explained to them. Ms. Shanthi explained on various activities of MOHAN Foundation and its role in promoting deceased organ donation.
We thank all the students that have participated and supported the initiative, the managements’ of the colleges to have made arrangements for this successful campaign.
