On October 1, 2025, the vibrant Garba Night celebration at Oberoi International School turned into a meaningful platform for promoting Organ Donation Awareness. As part of the initiative, Ms. Sakshi from MOHAN Foundation was invited to conduct an engaging awareness talk and set up an information desk during the festivities.
Through her interactive and age-appropriate session, Ms. Sakshi educated the young audience about the significance of organ donation and its life-saving impact. Her approachable style helped simplify the concept for nearly 200 secondary school students, encouraging curiosity and compassion among them.
Alongside the talk, an awareness desk was set up and remained active throughout the event, providing informative resources, donor cards, and one-on-one guidance for parents, staff, and visitors interested in learning more or pledging their support.
The integration of cultural celebration with social responsibility made the event truly special. Day 2 of Garba Night successfully blended joy with purpose, spreading the message of empathy, generosity, and the power of giving life through organ donation. The initiative left a lasting impression on the young participants and their families, fostering awareness within the community.
