  • An eye donation awareness session was conducted on April 2, 2026, at Prasad Chikitsa, Ganeshpuri, with the objective of creating awareness among the general public about the importance of eye donation and its role in restoring vision for individuals suffering from corneal blindness.

     

    The session was facilitated by Mr. Ravi Pawar from MOHAN Foundation, who provided detailed information on the concept and significance of eye donation, including the simple process involved and the eligibility criteria for donors. Participants were sensitized to the benefits of eye donation and how a single donation can help restore sight to individuals in need.

     

    During the session, common myths and misconceptions associated with eye donation were addressed and clarified with factual explanations, helping participants gain a better understanding of the subject. The interactive discussion encouraged attendees to ask questions and actively engage in the session.

     

    Approximately 40 participants attended the program and showed positive interest in supporting the cause. As an outcome of the awareness initiative, two individuals voluntarily pledged to donate their eyes, reflecting the impact of the session.
