Dr. Rajeev T.P., Director of ROTTO incharge of north eastern States of India organized a meeting of nephrologists and urologists in Guwahati on the evening of 21st December, 2017. This meeting was very well received and the participants had several questions regarding brain death, the laws, and grief counseling.
Dr. Sunil Shroff, Managing Trustee of MOHAN Foundation spoke about the Transplantation of Human Organs Act, 1994 and the subsequent amendments and rules. Dr.Sudakshina Mullick, Intensivist from R.N. Tagore Hospital, Kolkata presented on brain death identification and maintenance. Mrs. Lalitha Raghuram, Country Director of MOHAN Foundation narrated a donor story and presented on grief counseling.
