Cadaver call from CARE Banjara. The Transplant Coordinator of Care Banjara Ms Mamatha informed us about a Patient . Vikram & Saritha rushed to Care Banjara immediately . Mr Mahesh, the brain dead was knocked down by a speeding lorry the previous day.
He was declared brain dead by the treating neuro physician. We broached the subject of organ donation to his parents and uncle who were aware of the subject. They gave their consent soon. But little later some distant relative entered the scene and put the following conditions before agreeing:
To nullify the whole bill amount
To see that the post mortem is not done and if done then should be done in the same hospital
Disclose the name and address of the recipients.
In spite of our explaining them all about the legal aspects and law in force, they did not agree for donation.
