On 30.06.2018, Mr Kameswaran (CSR) of Suryoday Small Finance Bank invited MOHAN Foundation to deliver an awareness talk on organ donation. It was for their women group members under the Joint Liabilities group people. Around 50 women participated in the program held at the office in Thanjavur.
Firstly, Mr. Dileep Kumar. S, Transplant Coordinator MOHAN Foundation deputed to Thanjavur Medical College Hospital was the resource person. He introduced himself to the Joint Liabilities Group people and after that he asked the questions from participant to check their knowledge about organ donation and transplantation.
During the presentation following points were covered:
How to maintain a good health with good dietary habits
The causes of kidney damage, kidney stone and heart problem
Organ donation types and who can be a donor
Difference between natural death and brain death and coma
Details on how to register as a patient in case of organ failure
Process of eye donation
Information sources - such as helpline and websites
How to register as an organ donor
Stories of donors
After the questions answer session Mr. Kameswaran thanked Mr. Dileep Kumar.S for his inputs on organ donation at Suryoday Small Finance Bank.
