Awareness talk at CK Birla Hospital: Day Two

  On 23rd March 2022, MFJCF was invited by CK Birla Hospital Jaipur, to conduct a two-day awareness talk on organ donation and transplantation for their nursing

   

  On day Two, Mrs. Kamla Chaudhary of MFJCF conducted the talk.  Around 50 Nursing staff attended the talk.

   

  She talked about the following points:

  • What is organ donation and what are the types of donations?
  • Who can be a donor?
  • Difference between natural death and brain death
  • What organs can be donated after natural and brain death
  • Myths around organ donation
  • Real life stories of an organ donors of Rajasthan
  • Importance of donor card
  • Organ pledging via Driving License

   

  Few Noteworthy questions asked were:

  1.Does pledging guarantees that organs will be donated?

  2. Who bears the expenses of organ transportation?

   All the questions were satisactorily answered by the Team.

  The National Organ Donation Helpline number, 1800 103 7100 was shared with the participants. Around 35 nurses picked up their donor cards. MFJCF is thankful to Mrs Anupama (HR CK Birla), for inviting us to conduct the talk.
