On November 30, 2025, MOHAN Foundation’s representative, Ms. Prachiti Mali, was invited by
Vatsalya Jayeshtha Nagrik to conduct an awareness session for the general public.
During the session, she explained the key concepts of eye donation, including corneal blindness,
its causes, necessary precautions, and the age-related criteria for donating eyes. She also
discussed the legal aspects involved in the donation process and addressed several common
myths to ensure participants had a clear and accurate understanding of the subject. A total of 90
individuals attended the session, and 1 person came forward to pledge their eyes for donation.
The audience actively participated and raised queries such as “Can you still see without a
cornea?” and “What is the cornea of an eye?” Ms. Prachiti clarified these questions by explaining
the function and importance of the cornea in vision. MOHAN Foundation expresses its gratitude
to Vatsalya Jayeshtha Nagrik Bhavan for joining hands and supporting the cause of organ
donation by helping raise awareness through this session.
