  On 7^th July 2022, MOHAN Foundation was invited by the Rockpecker Private Limited, Industrial Area, Phase 7, Mohali, Punjab to conduct an awareness talk on organ donation for their employees. Around 30 employees participated in the session.

   

  Participants were given an introduction and presentation on Organ donation and brain death by Ms.Neha Sharma.

   

  In this talk she explained the following points: -

  • Organ donation types and who can be a donor
  • The status of organ donation in India and their requirements vs donation rates
  • Myths about organ donation
  • Difference between circulatory death and brain death
  • Organ donation and its types – Live & Deceased donation
  • Importance of the donor card
  • How to pledge or sign up for organ donation on MOHAN Foundation's website
  • MOHAN Foundation’s mission & vision

   

  The entire group was motivated that they will support organ donation movement in a big way. They can also motivate people at work place, neighborhood and their community. Participants also asked various questions on organ donation after the presentation. Everyone took keen interest with appreciation for the cause. Around 10 of them took the donor cards.
