On December 15, 2025, MOHAN Foundation’s Ms. Prachiti Mali was invited by Gram
Panchayat Umroil, Palghar to conduct an eye donation awareness session for the general public.
During the session, Ms. Prachiti Mali explained the key concepts of eye donation, corneal
blindness, precautions, causes, and the age limit for eye donation. She also discussed the legal
aspects of eye donation and addressed several common myths related to the process.
A total of 27 members of the general public attended the session. Participants actively interacted
during the discussion, and queries were raised, including:
“Is the cornea removed along with the entire eye?”
The session helped clarify doubts and encouraged positive attitudes toward eye donation.
MOHAN Foundation extends its sincere gratitude to Gram Panchayat Umroil, Palghar, for
joining hands and supporting the noble cause of organ and eye donation by promoting awareness
at the community level.
