On September 16, 2025, Ms. Pranjali Wagh conducted an impactful awareness session on Organ Donation at Sassoon Hospital under the Social Work Department. The session was held in collaboration with students from Tilak Vidyapeeth, accompanied by their guide. A total of 25 students participated in the interactive session aimed at enhancing understanding and sensitivity towards organ donation. The presentation highlighted the importance of organ donation, the process involved, and how it contributes to saving countless lives. The participants were actively engaged throughout, asking insightful questions and showing a strong sense of social responsibility. The session created a remarkable impact as it encouraged students to reflect on the noble cause of donating organs to the needy after death. The awareness drive was successful in motivating many attendees to take a step forward, with 12 students voluntarily filling out pledge forms for organ donation. This initiative not only fostered awareness but also instilled empathy and a sense of civic duty among future social workers. The Social Work Department at Sassoon Hospital appreciated the effort and encouraged more such educational and motivational sessions in the future to promote life-saving causes within the community.
