
An eye donation awareness session was conducted on February 15, 2026, at Jyeshtha Nagrik Bhavan, Palghar, with the objective of educating community members about the importance of eye donation and encouraging them to support this noble cause.
The session provided detailed information on the concept and significance of eye donation, highlighting its role in restoring vision for individuals affected by corneal blindness. Participants were guided through the eye donation process, including eligibility criteria, necessary precautions, and the steps to be followed at the time of donation.
Common myths and misconceptions related to eye donation were addressed and clarified with factual explanations, helping to enhance awareness and understanding among the attendees. Participants were also encouraged to pledge for eye donation and to actively spread awareness within their communities.
Approximately 55 community members attended the session, reflecting good participation. The program proved to be informative and impactful, successfully raising awareness about eye donation and motivating individuals to contribute to this meaningful cause.
