Awareness Session Conducted at Grampanchayat Kelthan, Wada, Palghar

  • On April 7, 2026, an Eye Donation Awareness Session was conducted at Grampanchayat Kelthan, Wada, alongside an Eye Check-up Camp organized by Prasad Chikitsa. The awareness session was facilitated by Mr. Ravi Pawar from MOHAN Foundation with the objective of educating the community about the importance of eye donation.

     

    Around 65 participants attended the session and were informed about the significance of eye donation, the process involved, and how donated corneas can help restore vision for individuals suffering from corneal blindness. The session emphasized that eye donation is a simple yet meaningful act that can give the gift of sight to those in need.

     

    Common myths and misconceptions related to eye donation were also discussed and clarified with factual information to help participants gain a better understanding of the subject. The attendees actively participated in the discussion and showed interest in learning about the donation process and eligibility criteria.

     

    The session proved to be informative and effective in creating awareness among the local community and encouraging positive conversations around eye donation.
