On January 9, 2026, MOHAN Foundation organised an organ donation awareness programme at Agartala Government Medical College and Govinda Ballabh Pant (AGMC & GBP) Hospital, Kunjaban, Agartala, West Tripura. The session was conducted at the Orthopaedics Outpatient Department (OPD) as part of the Foundation’s ongoing efforts to promote awareness about organ donation and transplantation.
Ms. Nipa Modak, Programme Executive, represented MOHAN Foundation during the programme.
The session commenced with an introduction to MOHAN Foundation, followed by the distribution of informational leaflets on organ donation. Ms. Nipa Modak then spoke about the significance of organ donation, the types of donors (living and deceased), and how a single donor can save multiple lives through the donation of organs such as the heart, liver, kidneys, pancreas, intestine, and lungs.
Approximately 14 participants attended the programme, allowing for focused interaction and engagement within the Orthopaedics OPD setting at AGMC & GBP Hospital.
