

On July 17, 2026, MOHAN Foundation conducted an organ donation awareness program at Mohanpur Boy’s Higher Secondary School, West Tripura. The objective of the program was to educate students and staff about the significance and life-saving impact of organ donation. The session was conducted for Class XII Humanities students and teachers. Mr. Uttam Kumar Das, Principal, coordinated with MOHAN Foundation, Tripura, to facilitate the session.
The session was conducted by Ms. Nipa Modak, Program Executive, MOHAN Foundation, Tripura. The program commenced at 12:15 PM with a welcome address by Mr. Uttam Kumar Das.
Ms. Nipa delivered a detailed talk on organ donation. She introduced MOHAN Foundation and highlighted its mission and activities. She explained the significance of organ donation, types of donors, organs and tissues that can be donated, the difference between brain death and coma, and also elaborated on corneal donation. Participants were also provided with informational leaflets on organ donation.
A total of 70 participants including 67 students and 3 teachers, attended the program.
