Organ Donation awareness session to the staff of GE Oil and Gas at Sriperumbudur

• GE Oil & Gas is a world leader in advanced technology equipment and services for all segments of the oil and gas industry.  They inviting MOHAN Foundation to gave the awareness session on organ donation.  Mr. Jeyabal M, Transplant Coordinator gave a presentation on the Concepts of Organ Donation. His talk covered the following points: 

  • Activities of MOHAN Foundation across the country to strengthen the Deceased Organ Donation programme
  • Types of Organ Donation - Live and Deceased Donation
  • Difference between Brain death and Coma
  • Importance of the consent from the family
  • Importance of Donor card 
  • Tissues and organs  that can be donated

   

  Totally 20 employees participated the session and all of them picked the donor card and supported the cause. At the end of the session the participants asked several queries such as

  1. How to register for organ transplantation?
  2. List of  Registered  hospitals
