


On Sunday, December 15, 2024, the Trinayan Maheshwari Mahila Sangathan and Yoga 365 group organized a walkathon in partnership with the MOHAN Foundation to raise awareness about organ donation. The event, led by Ms. Madhuri Sarda, President, and Ms. Sudha Chandak, Secretary, aimed to encourage more people to support this important cause.
Dr. Bharti Heda, the Project Director, efficiently coordinated the walkathon at Shivaji Nagar Garden in Nagpur. Total 200 people of all ages participated, showing their support for organ donation. After the walk, there was an award ceremony. Ms. Khushi Nandawanshi shared her inspiring experience of liver donation, while Ms. Veena discussed the significance of organ donation and the MOHAN Foundation's efforts at the Government Medical College and Hospital in Nagpur.
The audience also learned about Ms. Bhagyashree Nighot, the MOHAN Foundation’s Transplant Coordinator and Grief Counselor, who supports donor families and helps with transplants. The walkathon successfully raised awareness about organ donation and encouraged more people to consider becoming donors.
