Organ Donation Awareness talk for employees of SourceHOV in Saidapet, Chennai

  Mr. Jeyabal delivered the talk on organ donation

  On 30^th April 2014, SourceHOV ( a global provider of transaction processing solutions firm),  Chennai  invited MOHAN Foundation to present a talk on Organ Donation.  Mr. Jeyabal M, Transplant Coordinator and Mr. Buhari M, Intern, MOHAN Foundation, Chennai  were debuted to give the  talk on Organ Donation. The programme began with a welcome address by Mr. Mr. Mohan, DSM – Human Resource.  45 employees of the company attended the session.

  Followed by the introduction Mr. Jeyabal M explained the following topics:

  • Importance of Organ Donation
  • Brain death
  • Brain stem function
  • Difference between the Brain Death and Coma 
  • The process of Eye Donation 
  • What organs and tissues can be donated  
  • What organs can be donated by a living person 
  • Toll free number
  • MOHAN Foundation Activities
  • Donor Card

   

  At the end of the session the participants asked several queries such as

  1. How to register for organ transplantation?
  2. List of  Registered  hospitals
  3. Time duration of operation

   

  All the queries answered by the transplant coordinator.  Finally Mr. Mohan gave vote of thanks and all  the participants picked donor cards.
