On February 05, 2025, MOHAN Foundation was given an opportunity to raise awareness on Organ donation to around 20 trainee students of ARUWYE Training Centre at Kodambakkam. All students were given an information brochure on organ donation.
Mr Ganesh C, Marketing Coordinator, MOHAN Foundation engaged the students, and spoke about organ donation. He spoke about organ scarcity in-spite of so many deaths, he mentioned if every one who died in India donated their eyes, within a month corneal blindness can be rectified.
He then explained the types of donations, brain death, how to avail organs, government schemes that support organ transplantation, myths and safeguarding from scams. Then the discussion was on whole body donation and concluded the session with effective usage of Organ Donation Helpline 1800 103 7100.
