One day workshop on “Issues related to Deceased Donor Organ Transplantation Programme in Kerala”

  • Kerala Network for Organ Sharing (KNOS), Mrithasanjeevani in collaboration with MOHAN Foundation, Kerala organized a one day workshop on “ISSUES RELATED TO DECEASED DONOR ORGAN TRANSPLANTATION PROGRAMME IN KERALA” for hospital administrators, doctors, ICU staff, transplant coordinators and accident & emergency staff  on 27th July, 2013 at the Seminar Hall, Super Specialty Block, Government Medical College, Trivandrum.  Nearly 100 delegates from various hospitals participated in the workshop.

     

    Prof. Jacob George, Head of Department, Department of Nephrology, Government Medical College, Trivandram welcomed the gathering. The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. V. Geetha, Director of Medical Education, Government of Kerala. She released the official Donor Card for the State of Kerala and also a guide book for Deceased Donor Programme which was compiled by the MOHAN Foundation. In her inaugural speech, she urged that all stakeholders have to work together for this programme to be a success.

    iv) Workshop for Transplant Coordinators

     

    • Draft for Police Procedures on Organ Donation (Medico Legal Case) will be submitted to the Government of Kerala to be passed as a Government Order same as GO. (Ms) No.86 Dated: 26.02.2011

     

    • Sensitization Programme for the police personnel will be conducted soon with the permission from the police department
