

On 17th November 2014, MOHAN Foundation Chandigarh conducted an awareness session for the school students of Government High School Sector-7, Chandigarh under the “Student Awareness Campaign” which started on, to cover all the students of government high schools in Chandigarh. The Principal and the staff members helped a lot in arranging the session.
Around 80 students participated in the program and they were from 10th standard and were given a presentation on the phenomenon of Brain Death and the process of organ donation through a presentation and videos by the Program Coordinator Nilakshi. The myths and misconception associated with organ donation were also discussed and got cleared. The donor cards were shown to them.
After the presentation students discussed the whole process of organ retrieval and transplantation. Around 100 cards were taken by the students and teachers as well. Teachers also asked to promote the cause.
