MOHAN Foundation Manipur Honoured with SABERA Award 2025 in Swasthya and Kalyan Category

  • On December 12, 2025, MOHAN Foundation attended the Social and Business Enterprises Responsibility (SABERA) – a celebration Gala for Changemakers at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi. The Foundation was represented by Dr. Muneet Kaur Sahi, Programme Manager (NCR), and Ms. Laishram Monica Devi, Project Coordinator (Northeast) and Project Lead (Manipur).

     

    The eighth edition of SABERA brought together leaders, innovators, and organisations committed to driving India’s progress through purpose driven action. Curated by the Simply Suparnaa © Media Network, led by UN Women awardee Ms. Suparnaa Chadda, SABERA continues to recognise initiatives that go beyond profit to create measurable and lasting social impact.

     

    The gala evening was anchored by Ms. Naina Kumari, whose presence reflected SABERA’s commitment to inclusive growth and opportunity. The daughter of a sweeper at PVR, her journey symbolised the platform’s belief in nurturing talent and amplifying voices traditionally left at the margins.

     

    Setting the tone for the evening, Suparnaa Chadda, Founder and Curator of SABERA, delivered an address that underscored the platform’s continued focus on responsible narrative-building, moving away from sensationalism and toward recognition that nurtured collective consciousness and long-term societal wellbeing.

     

    MOHAN Foundation Manipur received the SABERA Award under the category Swasthya and Kalyan (Health, Nutrition and Wellbeing), below Rs. 5 crore, for its sustained efforts in building and strengthening the organ donation and transplantation ecosystem in Manipur. The other nominees in this category included Meals of Happiness Charitable Trust and Sushena Health Foundation.

     

    Addressing the gathering, Dr. Muneet Kaur Sahi spoke about MOHAN Foundation’s work across the country and expressed gratitude to the organisers for the recognition. She also recalled the SABERA Lifetime Achievement Award conferred upon Dr. Sunil Shroff, Managing Trustee, MOHAN Foundation. Ms. Laishram Monica Devi thanked the organisers for acknowledging the sustained efforts and impact of organ donation initiatives in Manipur.

     

    The gala evening was attended by close to 100 participants from across sectors.
