Updated on Tuesday, March 6, 2012
  • Mohan Foundation participated in the World Book Fair-Pragati Maidan, along with Sir Ganga Ram Hospital (SGRH) in Delhi. The fair was attended by people from all walks of life. During the two days - 2nd and 3rd March 2012, that we were present, MOHAN got the opportunity to interact with a group of students pursuing a graduate course in nursing and anaesthesiology. These groups was told about the important role that they could play in recognizing and maintaining brain dead patients in the ICU. They were keen to know more on the subject and also collected donor cards to pledge their organs. About 30 cards were distributed.

The stall was set up in the Medical and Technology section of the fair and hence lacked footfalls from the general crowd. The foundation's team then moved on to have one-to-one discussions with people at other stalls. The youth showed greater interest in understanding the concept of Brain Death and Organ Donation.

The staff also attended lectures on current health issues like  diabetes and end stage organ failure taken by experts from SGRH.
